At LepreCon, St. Patrick’s Day meets SantaCon, kicks Christmas’s ass, and the Leprechauns take over. Put on your little green lad and lass costumes and imbibe on Irish Car Bombs, Irish whiskey, beer, and more. In other words, get your donk in a Leprechaun suit and tell your liver to feck off. March 14: Oakland County – St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Royal Oak
The parade is an event to honor and celebrate Irish family traditions to include demonstrating Irish pride and heritage. At 11:30 a.m., the parade of floats, clans, step dancers, bagpipers and community groups leaves Royal Oak Middle School, 709 N. Washington, and goes south on Washington to Seventh Street. More info.

March 7: Annual Irish-American Crossroads Festival – Children’s Hour of Dance & Music @ Fisher Children’s Center | Free
From the high-energy driving rhythm of Irish jigs and reels to slower-paced airs with sean-nós (‘old style’) songs (sung in both Irish and English), Autumn Rhodes and Darcy Noonan stay well in touch with the roots of the music, while infusing it with their own special style. The duo will play and explain several instruments, including fiddle, Irish flute concertina and tin whistle. Children will also have a chance to learn and sing-along to a few Irish Gaelic children’s songs. More info.
