For just five hours, the streets of the Tenderloin will be filled with healthy activities, arts, music, and more. Boedekker Park will be open for Zumba lessons and picnicking, the Veteran’s Mural Project and  Umpqua Bank will host an interactive temporary painted intersection, and there will be super sized Jenga, Bean Bag Toss and street bowling by Central City SRO Collaborative. The Healthy Corner Store Coalition will be offering healthy eating demos and information, and there will be a slew of activities for kids of all ages!

This densely populated neighborhood houses the highest number of families with children, has one of the highest rates of car-free households, and has the least amount of park space per capita in San Francisco. Few neighborhoods make a better case for transforming streets into recreational space for playing and building community.

The Tenderloin Sunday Streets route includes Fulton St between Hyde and Larkin, Larkin to Ellis St, Ellis to Jones St, Jones to Golden Gate Ave, and Golden Gate Ave to Larkin St.
